yoga teacher, RYT 500

Michele was a dancer early on in life, prior to transitioning to the corporate world. She discovered the power of yoga in 2002 and continued evolving in her practice as it became a healing mechanism for her chronic pain. Yoga profoundly impacted Michele – providing not only physical pain relief but aligning the mind, body, and spirit connection. She completed a Forrest Yoga Teacher Training course in November 2005 in NYC, and she went on to complete Stephanie Keach’s Training in Asheville, N.C. in June 2007. She also has a deep love for the Ashtanga practice as it's another form of moving meditation coordinated with breath. Michele’s move to Austin in 2019 brought her to Del Sol where she immersed herself in Thomas and Claudia Castro-Leverett’s transformative 300hr training program. She remains in deep gratitude for having discovered her beloved teachers at Del Sol along with the amazing community!

Michele’s compassion plays a significant role in her teaching, and she encourages her students to stay in the present, focusing on their breath as a channel to healing. Knowing first-hand the therapeutic benefits of yoga, Michele is committed to sharing her passion for yoga with the community. She is deeply appreciative for the many influences that continue crossing her path and inspiring her journey.

“The soul always knows what to do to heal itself. The challenge is to silence the mind.” - Caroline Myss
