Women's Self Defense

This class is a skills and drills based class that focuses heavily on fitness, strength, flexibility, agility, and spacial/situational awareness (your awareness of yourself and your surroundings). Students will learn to block, punch and kick hard, fast, and accurately. They'll learn how to doge, escape grabs, and react when they need to.

A lot of people think that a self defense seminar is enough to help when a situation arises and these types of skills are needed, this is not true. These skills have to be practiced and drilled. Using the 7 Star Praying Mantis Style of Kung Fu, students will learn how to program the foundational movement patterns of attack and defense. You don't have to be "in shape, flexible, or strong" to learn self defense. You just have to be willing to show up for yourself and the benefits will show up for you as strength, determination, calm, and poise.
